Guided Tour: Castle of Senftenberg (Thursday, May 24, 2018 - 18:00-19:00)
In the south of the town of Senftenberg, in the immediate vicinity of the Lake Senftenberg, there is an imposing renaissance building, the fortress of Senftenberg.
Emerged from a medieval castle, it is unique in Germany today. In recent years, all buildings such as the castle, the commander's house, the powder tower, the courtyards and the entrance area have been extensively restored or rebuilt.
On a fortress tour, the visitor learns what soldiers did in a Poterne, a powder tower or a failure. In the centrally located castle you can go on a voyage of discovery through centuries-old history of the Lusatian Region.
